ValYOU Valor Awards - leadership recognition

1. Pick a Liberty-Orientated Project to achieve within the competition cycle. This can be a project of your choice (big or small, new or existing, business or non-profit) that will bring a greater measure of LIBERTY either personally, politically or communally: perhaps you improved your own family's financial/health lifestyle, changed a restricting law, or improved the socio-economic conditions of your community. We enthusiastically endorse those programs designed to awaken people to their inherent freedoms (you can have sponsors ). We also encourage you to start a ValYOU local group as this team will help you achieve your goal faster. Though only a maximum of two people can be eligible to receive each actual prize, you will benefit from a group of people who meet with you each month to support your cause.

You can get rewarded for doing something you have already started - as long as you keep a record of significant activities and accomplishments during the time frame of the competition. There is no need to communicate with us at the beginning of the competition, just pick your project and see how much you can accomplish in the give time frame.

2. Submit a (up-to) 1000 word report of your accomplishments upon completion of project and before competition deadline. It's that simple.

BECOME AN INSPIRATION! We want others to know how you made a tangible difference. Keep notes of your activities, networking, and significant events to write your final (up-to) 1000 word story which might be chosen to become a chapter in a book about this particular competition cycle! Proceeds from the book will help fund ValYOU leadership activities in underprivileged areas. The greatest rewards will be the lives you have permanently changed forever because of your inspiring example. Even a personal business project has great merit because it will showcase the success of entrepreneurial and free-market enterprise. Inclusion in the book/web will likely raise global awareness of your product, organization and/or cause! Start creating your story today. Be an inspiration!

BE IN TO WIN! Given that the competition has just been introduced, it is exciting to see how it is spreading fast - all over the world! We are constantly amazed at the numbers and types of people entering this competition from every walk of life: prisoners, recovering addicts, home schooled moms, church leaders, university students, and people from all around the globe. Together, we can take back our nations. We are much more influential than we might think. Here in the United States, we too must be reminded that only a grass-roots movement will change our nation and that the American Revolution started with just 3% of the population and was won by just 7% participating. They were organized at a community-by-community basis for ACTION.

Whether rich or poor we can turn the tide towards freedom. At one point in the revolution, General Washington told his wife not to visit him at the camp because some of the men were so destitute their torn clothes did not cover their private parts. Yet, despite handicaps and hardships, these brave soldiers went on to lead the charge that set free an entire nation, giving them the right to determine their own independent destiny. Begin brainstorming today. Showcase what you are capable of accomplishing - despite odds. YOU are imbued with the creative power to bring about personal and local transformation. ValYOU is here to cheerlead you on as we together celebrate and reward your ingenuity. Regardless of the welfare aid sent to many societies, they will be back where they started in no time unless they are educated to understand that they are vested with the innovation to solve their own problems. That's where we come in.

	Students/Schools: Ask your college professor if you can get extra credits for participating in the competition. Ask your classmates to support you.
	Couples: Strengthen your marriage by delving with passion into a community liberty project or starting a home based business. Surprise yourself to success. In the process, build many happy memories together.
	Friends: The ValYOU Freedom Leadership Competition is a great excuse to kick up your heels and make waves! Surf your way into senator's offices and get them to help you create the world in which you want to live. Ask local company executives to help fund your project. Be bold. Dare yourself to the top. 	Individuals: Have you been toying with a business idea that will likely bring financial liberty to your life, yet need the impetus to get started? Why not use the competition deadline as a goal to stretch yourself and see just how much you are capable of accomplishing? If you are an employee, this is a wonderful chance to illustrate your leadership skills (for possible promotion) by galvanizing a team of colleagues to get involved with a community project. Alternatively, post a column in your local newspaper or on blogs requesting participation and in your project of choice. Build your resume by billing yourself as a "Community Leader" and enjoy the practicum credits this project provides. You might surprise yourself into success and have lots of fun in the process.
	Clubs/Churches/Companies: What better way to rev up your organization's team spirit, than to have all members participating in a cause which will POSITIVELY raise your group's profile in the community. Only a maximum of two people can claim any one single prize, but you can use your project to gain new members who want to help you win that prize and transform your locale. Raise up outspoken civic leaders from your midst who just might go on to become your town's next mayor and a beneficial ally. Build powerful relationships with existing government, media and business personnel in the mean time. Garner lots of press on your project - AND your organization.

Winners of the competition agree to pay all taxes due on gifts received. If entering the competition (it is free to do so), please read the official rules which also become applicable upon registration. Your email must include your (up to 1000 word) story about your liberty-oriented accomplishment, your full legal name (and your partner's if there are two of you), your address, phone number and a contact phone number and email of a non-relative whom we can call if verification of your activities are required. ValYOU is entitled to verify your story through other means if necessary.
