COMPETITION CRITERIA:
It must be LIBERTY
orientated.
Your project must bring an increase measure
of freedom to either your own life personally or to your community.
We enthusiastically endorse those programs designed to liberate
a community and awaken people to their inherent personal freedoms. For instance,
rather than giving people handouts, we prefer projects that empower people to
become self-sufficient. A competition project where people who gain knowledge
as well as practical help are most likely to stay liberated. Target a specific
problem of concern to you and find ways to become involved as part of the answer
so that your efforts leave a lasting legacy. You can bring liberty in various ways: financially, legislatively,
educationally, physically (health programs) etc., but be sure to define how
your project sets people free.
Note: We seek to unshackle people from the
erroneous notion that their worth is based on painful self-sacrifice. We would
far rather you pick a profitable project you enjoy. It is definitely possible to
help others while helping yourself. It is oxymoronic to hurt oneself
financially in an effort to provide socioeconomic advancement for others. This
teaching of financial-flagging is largely propagated by manipulating people who
want to pressure you to hand over your money so they can forward their
self-aggrandizement goals. The popularized televised message of "Give me this
and God will give you that," is based on pure control. (read "Cannibals of the
Soul," By contrast we were created for personal LIBERTY & JOY - not for imposed
hardship. We encourage you to find a project that sparks your passions and
therefore is most likely to keep you motivated. Further, pick a project that
will bring rewards for both you and the people with whom you work. Don't feel
guilty about starting a community project that will benefit others and
make you financially successful in the process. Remember, a community becomes
economically strong - one person at a time, so perhaps you need to start with
the needs of your immediate family. The inspiration you provide others through
your testament upon the completion of this competition may be just the catalyst
to transforming many others.
